Our Pastor Jerry Steele (Click Here)

North Bend United Methodist Church staff consists of the pastor, office manager, custodian and a congregation of important volunteers.

Pastor
Rev. Jerry Steele, a native Oregonian, has served churches in Southern California, Idaho and came to North Bend in the summer of 2008. He is a graduate of Willamette University.  He received his Master of Divinity Degree from the Claremont School of Theology in Claremont, California. He believes church and community are one and seeks to connect them by participating in civic groups and as a certified police chaplain. He and his wife, Elaine (also a United Methodist pastor) enjoy travel having been to mainland China, the Holy Lands, England and Scotland, and several trips to Hawaii. Upon appointment to North Bend UMC, Jerry is looking forward to sharing in the faith lives of the church members. He says, “It is a joy to work together as we serve God, preach Jesus Christ, and bring Christ’s message of love and justice to everyone, everywhere. As the people of God, we have a tremendous responsibility to care for one another and for God’s creation and can best do so together, as the family of God. I am excited to be a part of North Bend UMC as it goes forth proclaiming the kingdom of God.”
